'Bauhaus' table lamp

As a former Senior Designer for Donald Deskey Assoc, NYC, I recently re-visited my design roots with a Bauhaus-inspired table lamp. Deskey was one of "Big Four" designers in the mid-20th century which also included, Walter Dorwin Teague, Henry Dreyfuss and Raymond Lowey. I was fortunate to glean all of my knowledge about the Golded Age of American Deco from Deskey himself. Among other landmarks, Deskey designed Radio City Music Hall in NYC.

Minimalist and boldly graphic in black, white and gold, a pure white dome illuminates the two brass rings on top.

The slender, square lampshade is made of ebonized walnut.

The underside of the shade is made of translucent white Lucite which allows the full light of bulb to illuminate the table or desk surface.

The solid brass post sits on a stepped walnut base.

24" tall x 14" square.

Uses a 60 watt equivalent LED bulb- dimmable.
