Geometric Deco Table Lamp
From our first collection of illuminated designs/ Donovan Design 1990. Shown here, as it's our company's 25th Anniversary in lighting design.
Featured in the Whitney Museum, NYC.,The Art Institute of Chicago, Elle Decor and New York Magazine, this pyramid shaded lamp was our very first lamp design and is highly collectable.
The lampshade is, of course, entirely handmade and the material is spun filament fiberglass- which transmits light finer and more evenly than other material. The hand painted pattern (our proprietary formula of permanent dyes and medium) glows like an impressionist's stained glass. The subtle variations and transitions of colors need to be seen in person to be appreciated. All four sides have a different variation of the design.
A solid maple base in satin black and deep mahogany stain. An antique, gold metallic fringe gallery completes the design.
One of a kind. However we still create these designs and can render them in any color and configuration, and to any desired dimensions for contract applications.
Signed and Dated by Art Donovan.
